The OFDM-based 4G Telecommunication Systems
The fastest data transmission technology to date, 4G technology is the brainchild of an Indonesian, Dr. Khoirul Anwar. Currently one of the top scientists in Japan, the extremely talented Dr. Anwar hails from Kediri, West Java and holds two significant patents in the field of telecommunications. His first patent is for Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM)-based 4G technology and the second one is for complete removal of the guard interval.
The OFDM-based 4G technology was inspired by the Japanese anime Dragon Ball Z. Dr. Anwar was able to reduce transmission power to about 100 thousand times smaller than before and, as a result, increase the speed at which the data are sent. The second patent enables wireless signal transmission using the 4G network, something that was previously thought impossible.
